I've never considered myself to be a person that would need a trainer - not at any gym I've belonged to and certainly and definitely not at a botique fitness studio.  I've always considered myself to be a pretty motivated persone who was in decent shape...unfortunately that opinion of myself might have been a bit in the past.  The one thing that I knew was that I was spending a fair amount of time working out each week (on my own) and I wasn't progressing with my fitness

With some skepticism I signed on with Kevin for a few  sessions.  I thought that he might be able to show me a move or two, and then I would move on.

Working out with Kevin has brought about a complete transformation about how I look and feel (and work out).

Rather than the tired routine that I was plodding through on my own, Kevin has multiple ways of hitting each muscle.  I have worked out with him 3x a week and sometimes never duplicated a move once during the week.  Kevin  is extremely attentive while you are working out and unquestionably increases the intensity level from my own workouts.  My hope is to carry over this intensity over to my own workouts, but I can still tell that when I am on my own, I will quit if I am fatigued at 13 reps.  With Kevin, we always find a way to finish the set.  He's also a great guy, and the hour goes by in a heartbeat.

Kevin is able to strike the right balance of being friendly, yet still pushing you to your best.  He schedules a set of body measurements every three weeks or so.  At first I feared these days, but after a while, I looked forward to them, as I was getting results and gaining confidence.  He is a real pro, and you can tell that he cares about your progress, it's not a job for him, it's his passion - and his passion is contagious

Bottom line - My body fat% is down, my arms chest and back are bigger, and I am a very happy guy.

I'm a very particular person.  I know what I like and what I don't like.  Kevin is the best trainer that I have every come across.  I would recommend that anyone who is thinking about getting serious about their fitness pop in and see what he is all about.  For those that are into asthetics, he had a very minimalist amount of equipment, but you don't need it.  

The absolute best and nicest thing is when I am running a bit late, it doesn't matter.  I just roll out of bed.  Kevin is the one that comes to me. I don't have to find a place to park.

Kevin is an excellent. He is really good at motivating you to workout hard, and pushes you to the limits of your ability. I had great results from working out from home. The best part is the variety in the workouts - he always find something new to do, and most of the time you are not even using equipment.  He found I responded best to bootcamp-style instruction and gave me the right amount of "push."  (you will finish every set, no excuses)

He is pretty disciplined with schedules overall, but if you work long hours he can be flexible here and there.  Pricing is great for the area.

Working out with Kevin is amazing. He's the best deal in personal training. We're toward the end of our 20 sessions and I've seen significant improvement in every muscle group. I can't wait to see what my final stats are at the end.

Kevin keeps it interesting and switches up the workout every time. He's very aware of my injuries and what my body can and can't do, and he tailors your routine accordingly.

He always has a great personality when your session starts (which is great considering how grumpy I can be after work... my mood really changes for the better when we work out).

Anyone who's looking for a trainer should see Kevin. I'll be recommending him to everyone I know.

​Had a great workout session with Kevin at the Urban Athletica location in downtown San Diego. It was a bit "assessment" of my level of fitness rolled into a great total body work out. I like Kevin's style facilitating the session. For me it was the right balance of motivation, education, encouragement, and "push" to do more. It worked! The facility is also great. Amazing how one can do so much in the space. I appreciate the "functional" aspects - I am not a "machine" kind of person. I would highly recommend you put Kevin on your list when looking for a trainer to help you achieve your goals. Look, HE walks his talk and can help us do that too!
